I am 22 years old, and recently graduated from Ithaca College with degrees in mathematics and music. I'm interested in the way mathematics is used in computer science through applications of category theory, probability, statistics, and numerical analysis in programming language design, data structures, algorithms, and machine learning. I currently work at a local middle school as a substitute teacher. I have played the violin for 14 years, and for a long time wanted to pursue a career as a professional violinist. Nowadays, I'm focusing a lot on mathematics and machine learning with a goal of becoming an actuary.
In my free time, I love studying math or computer science, baking, lifting weights, running, reading, and going to musicals. While my favorite type of music is classical, I also really enjoy pop music. My favorite artists are Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, John Mayer, The Punch Brothers, and Sara Baraeilles.
