I am 22 years old, and recently graduated from Ithaca College with degrees in mathematics and music. I currently work in the local school district as a substitute teacher. I have played the violin since third grade, and for a long time wanted to pursue a career as a professional violinist. While my favorite type of music is classical, I also enjoy pop, 90's rock, and metal from time to time. My favorite artists are Brahms, Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, John Mayer, Gracie Abrams, Journey, Lizzy McAlpine, the Punch Brothers, Sara Baraeilles, and Tigran Hamasyan. About a year ago, I decided that a career in music wasn't for me because I really loved problem solving and using my math skills. I am pursuing a career as an actuary.
I love studying math, baking, going to musicals, lifting weights, running, reading, playing/studying chess, and coding. I'm currently currently self-studying category theory and linear algebra, while improving my skills in programming by solving problems by writing programs in Haskell, Rust, and Python.
